The Dark Theatre: Performance in the Capitalocene (2017)
This is a keynote I gave at the Performance Philosophy Biennial in Prague in 2017. This talk forms part of the first chapter of my monograph The Dark Theatre published in 2020 which traces back over three decades of relations between theatre, capital and expulsion in the Docklands area of South East London from 1974 to 1991.
